Career
Ilary Blasi got into the acting business about as early as possible starring in her first television commercial when she was just 3 years old. A couple years later Ilary was cast in the film David and David and at age 6 she received her first starring roles in Vivio de vivere and Da grande. She went on to act in a few other films and television shows as a child actress. Instead of continuing with her acting career into her adult years Ilary became an Italian showgirl and model. One of the bigger moments in Ilary’s adult career was hosting Festival de Sanremo in 2006. More recently Blasi has gone back to her acting roots working on Italia 1′s hit show Le lene, while also doing some Italian commercials.
Time Together
Francesco Totti married wife Ilary Blasi on June 19th, 2005, approximately one year before Totti won the World Cup for Italy in Germany. The pair now have a son, Cristian and a daughter Chanel. Totti, who was born in 1976, is 5 years older than Ilary.
Ilary Blasi Goal Celebration Tributes
Totti is well known for his entertaining and sometimes controversial goal celebrations. One particular celebration that was a tribute to his wife Ilary Blasi, who was pregnant at the time. After scoring a goal, Totti put the soccer ball under his shirt and lay on the ground, while his teammates helped him “give birth” to the ball. After the birth of his first child, Totti then began sucking his thumb in celebration after goals and the majority of the public believed this was in tribute to his children. However, this was not the case and wife Ilary Blasi set the record straight, saying “Everyone thinks it’s about the children, because children are known for doing these sorts of things with the fingers, however, in this case, it relates to me. I have this defect, which I do with my thumb all the time, so therefore, in reality, Francesco does it for me.”
